Third-Party Licences & Acknowledgements

This page records third-party software, model and lexical resources used in the Omega Web Pro / Omega AI server-side system, together with applicable licence information, acknowledgements and provenance. It does not change the ownership or licensing of Alpha & Omega Limited's proprietary Omega software, Builder, website-generation system, knowledge architecture or generated customer projects.

Scope and ownership

Omega proprietary material. Except for the third-party components and source material identified on this page, Omega Web Pro, Omega AI, the Universal Website Studio, Builder, generation engines, integration code, proprietary knowledge structures and related Alpha & Omega Limited software remain proprietary material of Alpha & Omega Limited.

Server-side components. Acknowledgement here does not mean that the identified model, runtime, source corpus or private server components are included in, licensed with, or redistributed inside every website generated by Omega Web Pro.

Derived indexes. omega-moby-index-v1.json.gz and omega-moby-index-v1.sqlite are Omega-generated runtime indexes derived from the retained lexical source corpus. Their provenance follows the applicable source materials; they are not represented here as independently authored third-party products.

IBM Granite 4.0 Micro

AI modelApache-2.0

Omega AI uses an installed GGUF build of IBM Granite 4.0 Micro for local server-side language-model inference. IBM identifies Granite 4.0 Micro as developed by the Granite Team, IBM, and licensed under the Apache License 2.0.

Official project information: IBM Granite and IBM Granite 4.0 Micro model card.

llama.cpp

Inference runtimeMIT

Omega AI uses llama.cpp as its local C/C++ inference runtime. The installed source tree contains the following MIT licence notice:

The installed llama.cpp source tree also contains separately licensed bundled/vendor components. Their upstream licence files are retained with the installed source tree, including licence material for gguf-py, nlohmann/json, cpp-httplib, rotate-bits, SHA-256, xxHash, and UI-vendored libraries including big-integer, decimal.js and nerdamer-prime. Those licence files remain part of the corresponding installed source distribution and should be preserved with any redistribution of those components.

Moby Project lexical material

Lexical dataPublic domain provenance

The Omega lexical system incorporates original Moby Project lexical files. The provenance notice retained with the production package states:

“Moby Project original lexical files: public domain by Grady Ward. The project notice states the lexicon may be used, sold, reworked, excerpted, hosted and distributed. Preserve this notice for provenance.”

The retained notice further distinguishes the original Moby data from repository Markdown added by mirrors: Omega's runtime index was built from the original Moby data files, not mirror documentation.

Acknowledgement: Original Moby Project lexical data by Grady Ward.

Carnegie Mellon Pronouncing Dictionary

Pronunciation dataCMU acknowledgement

The supplied 15 September 1993 source README identifies the Carnegie Mellon Pronouncing Dictionary (cmudict.0.1) as Copyright 1993 Carnegie Mellon University. That supplied notice states that use for research or commercial purposes is completely unrestricted and requests acknowledgement of its origin when the material is used or redistributed.

Acknowledgement: Omega acknowledges Carnegie Mellon University as the origin of the Carnegie Mellon Pronouncing Dictionary material used in the lexical system.

The supplied source documentation also states that CMU does not guarantee the dictionary's accuracy or suitability for any specific purpose.

Roget, KJV and public reference material

Roget's Thesaurus

roget13a.txt is retained as a historical thesaurus/lexical source. It is used as source material within the lexical layer rather than represented as an independently authored Omega work.

KJV frequency material

KJVfreq.txt is retained as reference/frequency material for lexical guidance. Omega's deployed architecture does not treat this reference material as authority for unrelated factual claims.

United States Constitution

usaconst.txt is retained as reference text in the supplied corpus. Its inclusion does not imply endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation by any government body.

Other lexical banks

Word lists, names, places, compounds, spelling, crossword and frequency banks listed above are retained as lexical inputs. Their inclusion does not transfer ownership of Omega's proprietary software or architecture to any third party.

No endorsement or affiliation

References to IBM, Carnegie Mellon University, the Moby Project, llama.cpp, their contributors, or other upstream projects are for licence, attribution and provenance purposes. Unless expressly stated by the relevant organisation, they do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership or affiliation with Alpha & Omega Limited or Omega Web Pro.

Preservation of upstream notices

Where an upstream licence requires copyright, permission, licence or NOTICE material to accompany redistributed copies or substantial portions, Alpha & Omega Limited preserves the applicable upstream material with the relevant server/source distribution. This public page is an additional consolidated acknowledgement and is not intended to replace licence files that must accompany a redistributed component.
